Hiring a Part-time Temporary Program Support Assistant
The role of Program Support Assistant is a Canada Summer Job opportunity. The Baby Depot is a registered charity that donates gently used baby clothing to babies in need in Hamilton, Ontario. The Program Support Assistant would assist our Program Coordinator in everyday tasks so that we are able to continue to donate to babies in need in the city.
We are looking for someone who has experience in administration skills; efficient in social media; has access to a computer- preferably a laptop; is organized; communicates clearly; team player; takes direction well; quick learner; self-starter; works independently; can drive and has access to their own vehicle or access to public transit. Retail experience would be an asset.
Responsibilities for the role:
Donation Assessment and Sorting
Washing and drying donations
Keeping track of inventory
Assist with sorting incoming donations by age; gender and type
Assist families with the shopping experience at the boutique
Maintain the boutique by folding and displaying clothing; tidying the space and replenishing stock when needed.
Help with fundraising ideas
Help maintain our social media accounts
Write our newsletter
Assist with deliveries
Contract length: 7 weeks
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Salary: From $16.00 per hour
All customers and staff are expected to wear masks. Social distancing guidelines are followed.
